We keep a claw holding on to ball at the bottom to prevent other team from descoring it. Then, at very end of match, we let go.

Full Updated Strategy (Created 9/1/20)

Robot Requirements:

• Robot 1 is 24" robot.
• Robot 2 is 15" robot.

During Isolation Period:

• Robot 1: Immediately scores its preload in the center goal and blocks it completely from the other team. Any effective way of doing this is acceptable.
• Robot 2: Completes home row and gets the side goal closest to it once completes home row, cycling through to make sure that the ball on top is the correct color.

During Interaction Period:

• Robot 1: Extends walls that cut across the center of the field and block the other team from coming across to our side. One wall has a spike on the end preventing opposing team from scoring in the side goal (either goal 2 or 8 in the picture below) we previously claimed.
• Robot 2: Goes to the corner goal adjacent to the side goal and claims it, then locks wheels and protects that goal.
• Robot 1 and Robot 2 wait around for the rest of the match while our opposing team fiddles around in confusion.

With this strategy, we will automatically win even if we lose isolation period and our opponents score all of their balls. AI will only be needed for robot 2 to get balls to score. After we perfect this strategy, we will work on neural network with Robot 2.

Totals: There are three connected rows. 6 balls minimum. The other team is unable to connect any rows.

<G16> Don’t clamp your Robot to the field. Robots may not intentionally grasp, grapple or attach to any Field Elements. Strategies with mechanisms that react against multiple sides of a Field Element in an effort to latch or clamp onto said Field Element are prohibited. The intent of this rule is to prevent Teams from both unintentionally damaging the field and/or from anchoring themselves to the field. Minor violations of this rule that do not affect the Match will result in a warning. Match Affecting offenses will result in a Disqualification. Teams that receive multiple warnings may also receive a Disqualification at the Head Referee’s discretion.
