Requirements

• Walls to protect our side of field that extend
• Prevent the other team from scoring in middle goal
• Drive to middle goal faster than the other team
• Good acceleration

Mechanism Selection

Drive Base: 6 wheel drive - omni, traction, omni - for greater maneuverability and speed; traction wheels prevents being pushed from side to side

Middle Goal Claiming: Standoff over the top; "ball cage" around the bottom

Walls: Linear slides

For the walls, we were debating between scissor lifts and linear slides. So, we created a list of the pros and cons for each. Pros are highlighted in green, cons are highlighted in red, and neutral points are highlighted in yellow.

• Slightly complicated to build
• Heavy
• Takes up less space
• Large amount of force needed to extend
• Challenging to extend quickly
