The intakes are one of the most important parts of the robot, since they are the mechanism that allows to get balls. The intakes must be fast and reliable. We CADed the intake design in Fusion 360, and printed them with our 3D printer.

Our intakes have many distinct features that make them even more effective at retrieving balls.

Features

• Hacked in half and undermined - can get balls from goals more effectively and reduces the need to back up constantly to remove a ball from a goal
• 1:1 gear ratio
• 200 rpm motors
• Flex wheels made with softer material (rubber rating of 30A) - to grip balls better
• Easy deploy - the intake is lifted up during setup, and automatically falls into place once the robot drives forward
