SCARA Shoulder Joint

Our SCARA shoulder joint enables the shoulder to move freely. It uses a thunderhex VEX Pro axle. It has a 1:2 gear ratio and utilizes a metal chain, which is stronger and more secure than a VEX or VEX IQ chain. The metal chain is especially important because it does not break if a robot runs into it and it also distributes weight towards the base, making it lighter.

Carbon Fiber Grippers

The carbon fiber grippers attach to carbon fiber pieces without drilling it. These pieces were created using CAD and were 3D printed.

Preload Dropper

The preload dropper helps us score the SCARA's preload in the middle goal, enabling us to claim the middle goal. When the preload dropper is lowered, it caps the goal, preventing opponents from scoring in the middle goal.

Goal Cage

Our goal cage cages the middle goal so the opponents cannot score. We would own the middle goal by scoring our preload in it during the isolation period.
